Compendium Collection of legal instruments
The European Central Bank (ECB) has decided to publish a new updated edition of its Compendium, first published in 1999. The Compendium is the collection of all published ECB legislation. This new edition contains all current ECB legal instruments that were adopted from the establishment of the ECB, 1 June 1998, until the end of December 2001 and published in the Official Journal of the European Communities.
The Compendium is intended to contribute to a better understanding of the legal background to economic and monetary union by providing a systematic overview of the legislative activity of the ECB in a single volume.
The Compendium is available in all 11 official Community languages and will be distributed by each of the EU national central banks to interested parties in their respective countries. The Compendium is also available from the ECB in each of the 11 languages, and may be obtained by sending a written request either by fax or by e-mail (info@ecb.int) to the ECB's Press and Information Division. All language versions will also be available on the ECB's website in the course of April 2002. (Legal documents.)
